Baptisms, Confirmation and Weddings
Christ Church is a place where people can take their next step in their walk with Christ. We enjoy doing plenty of differnt types of services. Here you will find information on some of the services we do.
Baptisms (christenings)
Baptism is the sign of belonging to the community of God's people (the church). Following the practice of the earliest church, we baptise new converts (of any age) and the children of believing parents. If you'd like to consider this please contact the church office (01892 513680).
For those for whom baptism is inappropriate, services of thanksgiving (for babies) and affirmation of baptismal vows are possible.
Speak to Nick (01892 616128) about these options.
Confirmation
Following the practice of the early church (Acts 8:14-17), we confirm those who have been baptised. For those who have been baptised at a young age this usually takes place at the age of 13 or older and acts as a personal statement of commitment. For those who have been baptised at an older age, confirmation will follow on quickly, sometimes on the same occasion.
For further information speak either to Nick (01892 616128)
Weddings
If you'd like to get married at Christ Church please contact in the first instance the church office (01892 513680) or the clergy.
It is now easier to get married at the church of your preference (provided you meet certain criteria). For information contact the church office.
